“When she took a look in my eyes
She saw a picture of you
Maybe you were her in disguise
And I was never untrue”
SF producer Raven quietly released new music via Bandcamp, and it’s irresistible.
“PICTURE” is a deceptively simple Latin freestyle-inspired track built around massive electronic drums, thick arpeggiating synthesizers, and a wispy vocal sample lifted from “The Picture”—originally “Wenn Der Mond Die Sonne Berührt”, released by German synth pop group Hubert KaH in 1984 and remixed by Francois Kevorkian in 1990. Raven makes it sounds like going to the timeless rave in your dreams.
