Inspired by the fertile transatlantic shoegaze scene of the 80s and 90s, Bay Area band Aluminum recently released the Windowpane EP on Dandy Boy Records. Swirls of sweet melody peak out from behind walls of distortion heavy guitar, featuring the dual vocals of Marc Leyda and Ryann Gonsalves. Moody synths and samples add depth and texture to the mix. Equal parts sweetness and chaos, this is a compelling entry to the local fuzz-rock scene.
