Given the national trauma we’ve endured over the past several years seems to be accelerating, an album like Rose Haze’s Summer Solstice Suite comes at a good time. Only her second modular synth session, this 30-minute long, soothing, psychedelic piece is dedicated to her friend Lisa Bella Donna who “gave me hope and inspiration when few others did, and opened up worlds for me.” And if that doesn’t help, then maybe hike to the top of Corona Heights on July 4th, put this on really, really loud, and hope the aliens whisk you away.
