Talented East Bay violinist and hip hop composer Raaginder dropped Letters from the Other Side last week. Growing up in the diverse neighborhoods of Union City, Raaginder was as influenced by rap and hip hop as he was by his parents more traditional Indian music. Trained since the age of 11 by respected Hindustani classical violinist Sisirkana Dhar Choudhury, Raaginder’s latest release takes Indian Classical and blends it with smooth radio-ready pop R&B.
